So we are encouraging women to make time to better care for their health…
The Real Mom’s Guide
Try to add this simple things to your day list:
Fitness
Making time to exercise and live a healthy active lifestyle will likely reduce your risk of heart disease and stroke, diabetes and metabolic syndrome, depression and anxiety, as well as colon, breast and possibly lung and endometrial cancer.
Spend at least 30 minutes a day doing a moderate activity such as walking.
Three 10-minute sessions are just as effective as 30 minutes of continuous activity.
Lifestyle Changes to Improve Your Cholesterol
Nutrition
Invest time in your nutrition by shopping fresh and preparing your meals at home, or swapping unhealthy snacks for healthier options (such as your afternoon biscuit for a piece of fruit).
Have Fun
Jean Hailes for Women’s Health also invites women to host their own. It could be a morning tea, a fun health information session, a workplace gathering, a book club session, a bike ride, or even just a walk with friends – whatever you like! It’s easy and fun.
Sleep
can have negative effects on your productivity, your memory, your mental health and your immune function.
So you need to sleep around seven to eight hours each night. To improve your mind and health.
Women suffer higher heart attack deaths compared to men. Depression and anxiety exhibit more frequently among female patients. Urinary tract conditions present more often in females, and sexually transmitted diseases can cause more harm to women. Among the conditions that present most frequently in women, the following eight illnesses pose considerable health risks.

Heart Disease In the United States, heart disease causes one in every four deaths among women. Although the public considers heart disease a common issue among men, the condition affects males and females nearly equally. Yet, only 54 percent of women realize that heart disease is the top health condition threatening their gender. In the United States, 49 percent of all consumers suffer from high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or smoke; factors that contribute to heart disease.
Breast Cancer Breast cancer, which typically originates in the lining of the milk ducts, can spread to other organs and is the most aggressive cancer affecting the global female population. The condition presents more among female populations in developed nations due to their extended life spans.

Initially, women afflicted with breast cancer may develop breast lumps. Most breast lumps are nonthreatening, but it is important for women to have each one checked by a care provider.
Ovarian and Cervical CancerMany people are not aware of the differences between ovarian and cervical cancer. Cervical cancer originates in the lower uterus, while ovarian cancer starts in the fallopian tubes. While both conditions cause similar pain, cervical cancer also causes discharge and pain during intercourse.
While ovarian cancer presents extremely vague symptoms, the condition is very complex. Finally, Pap smears detect cervical but not ovarian cancer.
Gynecological Health Bleeding and discharge are a normal part of the menstrual cycle. However, added symptoms during menstruation may indicate health issues, and unusual symptoms, such as bleeding between menstruations and frequent urinating, can mimic other health conditions.

Vaginal issues could also indicate serious problems such as sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) or reproductive tract cancer. While care providers might treat mild infections easily, if left unchecked, they can lead to conditions such as infertility or kidney failure.
Pregnancy Issues Pre-existing conditions can worsen during pregnancy, threatening the health of a mother and her child. Asthma, diabetes, and depression can harm the mother and child during pregnancy if not managed properly.
Pregnancy can cause a healthy mother’s red blood cell count to drop, a condition called anemia, or induce depression. Another problem arises when a reproductive cell implants outside the uterus, making further gestation unfeasible. Fortunately, obstetricians can manage and treat common and rare health issues that emerge during pregnancies.
Autoimmune Diseases Autoimmune disease occurs when body cells that eliminate threats, such as viruses, attack healthy cells. As this condition continues to escalate among the population, researchers remain baffled as to why the condition affects mostly women. While many distinct autoimmune diseases exist, most share symptoms such as:
● Exhaustion
● Mild fever
● Pain
● Skin irritation
● Vertigo
What Is The Paleo Diet?
Most of the autoimmune system rests in the stomach. Duly, many who suffer from this condition have resorted to natural healing practices, such as:
● Consuming less sugar
● Consuming less fat
● Lowering stress
● Reducing toxin intake
However, the best defense against autoimmune disease is early detection.
OsteoporosisOsteoporosis weakens bones, allowing them to break easily. Several factors can cause the condition that occurs mostly in women, such as:
● Age
● Alcohol consumption
● Certain prescriptions
● Genetics
● Lack of exercise
● Low body mass
● Smoking
● Steroid use
Develop a Relaxing Routine Whether you like reading, yoga, taking a bath, or going on a long walk or run, find a routine that grounds and relaxes you.
Part of my daily ritual includes lighting scented candles, incense, burning oils, or using my oil diffuser. There are so many scents that promote relaxation – Lavender, Sandalwood, Jasmine, and Mandarin to name a few.
Tune In to Your Mental Health Nurturing your mental health is super important BUT it is one of the areas many of us don’t pay a lot of attention to. So make it your mission to prioritize tuning in to your mental health regularly to check on how you are tracking and to make changes when needed.
Eat Well and Understand How to Nourish Your Body
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important, but putting it into practice can be easier said than done!
Healthy Diet Plant-Based Diet
Listen to your body and notice what nourishes it, what makes it feel crappy, and what it needs more and less of. If that means drinking more water, eating more vegetables, cutting out booze and sugary drinks and foods, then make some gradual changes so your new habits don’t stress you out and are sustainable.
Move Your Body Whenever You Get the Chance There are so many ways to incorporate movement into your days whilst getting some incidental exercise without even realizing it!
Take the dog for a walk, clean the house, do some gardening or take up a new hobby that gets your body moving. You could even take a friend along if you’re feeling shy or insecure; a buddy will always help you get through a workout or new class!
If you’re at work, walking meetings are a great way to incorporate movement into your working day and can be incredibly productive!

Make Small Changes Around Your Home
A few simple changes around your home can make a big difference!
Don’t Feel Forced to Conform
Do you feel as if you are expected to behave a certain way or conform to certain standards?
March to the beat of your own drum and ignore anybody who tells you otherwise! It’s time to do what makes you happy, rather than what makes other people happy.
If you don’t LOVE what you do, are bored, or can’t wait to get out of the office every day, then it’s time to make a change!
Do What Makes You Happy, If you don’t LOVE what you do, are bored, or can’t wait to get out of the office every day, then it’s time to make a change and to do more of what makes YOU happy!
And if you’re thinking that a career change is impossible, I’m here to tell you it’s not! I changed careers in my 30’s through self-learning, trial and error, and hard work. I’m so much happier for it!
Take Your Aches and Pains Seriously
There’s nothing worse than suffering from a prolonged ache, pain, or illness. It can really start to take over your life if you don’t take it seriously from the outset.
Don’t Bottle Things Up It’s so easy to bottle up emotions. I certainly did last year after my beloved pooch of 16 years passed away.
Don’t be afraid to reach out to your loved ones for support instead of pushing them away (been there done that MANY times!). Even though it’s hard, try to open up and talk about what you are feeling. That way you won’t feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders.
And if you’re not ready to talk to anyone, try to write about how you are feeling. Writing it out can help you explore your thoughts, gain a new perspective, or at least get them out of your head.
Talk to a Professional If you’re feeling unwell, stressed, or depressed, get yourself along to see a professional about how you are feeling.
